Mike with kids dog piling Jackson. Top to bottom: Hunter, Sedley, Maren, Trigdon, Aliza, Jackson.
Would you believe this is the only picture taken today? I did get one of Sam on my phone, I'm just trying to get it over to my computer, it may take a while.
It was a small and quiet Thanksgiving. Mike and Kelli came up from Burlington. They came Wednesday night (it took a while, they hit a deer on the way, totaled their car, had to wait for tow truck and police report, it happened in Deaver and Clint and Amy were in Lovell, so they borrowed their car to come up). Jodi came over in the afternoon with the kids. Kenny was detained elsewhere, so wasn't able to come. We were going to eat at 1:00, but we decided to wait until 5:00 so we could help clean up at a Thanksgiving community dinner that the Catholic church was putting on. Sam and Sammy were the dishwashers. Sam had this big apron for getting wet. He looked official.
The turkey was cooking while we were doing that and they gave us some left over potatoes so we didn't have to make any. It was a great meal. We just relaxed the rest of the evening, looking at the ads to see if it was worth going. Jodi left the kids at my house so she could go shopping in the middle of the night. Crazy. Mike and Kelli left at 10:30 that night to get a tv that went on sale at midnight. They got it. I decided I didn't want anything bad enough to go out into the crowed stores. I was just fine staying home and watching kids.
We were full of blessing this week. Especially with no harm coming to anyone, with the car accidents and all. I am so thankful for our health, safety, and family. I am thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ and the power of the Atonement. I am thankful for forgiveness, and hope I can always do so. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well.
