Blessing #37 Washer/Dryer

As I was running out the door, I threw a load of clothes from the washer into the dryer, then put a load of dirty clothes into the washer, letting them do the work of getting my clothes clean and dry by the time I got back.  The thought occurred to me how blessed I was to live in a time where we have the convenience of these fabulous machines.  Back in the pioneer days, laundry was an all day job with lots of scrubbing and hanging of clothes.  But then again, maybe they didn't have as many clothes as we do now.

Great blessing. Especially now that you cleaned out the hoses! You are good with laundry. It is never laying around your house, it's always put away.

I was thinking the same thing today-only I am ready for another set of them! I missed a few laundry days last week and my entire laundry room is covered floor to ceiling in dirty clothes, towels, sheets...you get the picture. I finally found the tile about an hour ago after finishing my 6th load of the day.

It used to be a treat for me to go home and use the ringer washer I grew up with and then I would hang the clothes on the line like my mother did. Those were the days!
