O.K., so I may not have any babies at home any more, but believe me, I went through it! All my children are in school, so do I have all the time in the world now? Not really. I just do pretty much the same thing I used to, except without my children at my feet.
I feel extremely BLESSED to be able to be home for my children. Friday, I had a big "to do" list and was half way through them, when I get a call from the "school" (I never know which child is calling, even though they are in 4 different schools). It was Maren. She wanted me to go with her on a field trip at 1:00 and go on the bus with her and everything. How could I resist? I told her I would be there. I show up, we ride a short mile to the High School, and watch a little show put on by the fire department. It was cute, and fun. Did I need to be there? No, but Maren was happy to have her mom with her.
I am thankful that I've been able to be home to raise my children these past 15 years. I'm thankful that I can drop my "to do list" to go on field trips with my daughter. Is being a stay at home mom easy? No, but worth it. It is going by way to fast. I'm trying to remember to "Enjoy the Journey" before it is gone.

You are a great mom! There is always a square meal on the table, the house is clean, and your kids are loved and well taken care of. Is it every child's dream to ride the bus with their parents? So cute.
What a nice thing for you to say that you are happy to be a stay at home mom. I don't know how I would have worked when I was raising you and your sisters and brothers. It was a privilege for me, too. The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.
it is a blessing to be a stay at home mom, i totally agree with you.
