Christmas Program

Today was Maren and Randon's 4th grade Christmas program.  They are in different classes so didn't sing together, but it was fun to watch them both.  They each had a speaking part introducing the song the class would sing next.  Maren's class sang Mr. Grinch, Silver Bells, and A wish for Hanukah. They both did fabulous, and I could even see her!

Concerts, Programs, Recitals

It was a pleasure going to each of my kids programs...

Luckily, Aliza and Jackson had their band concerts at the same time.

Aliza started playing the flute this year. She is doing so well.

This is Jackson's 2nd year playing the trumpet (he's in the middle of the Santa hats. Paige (cousin) (second picture 1st chair) is playing flute for her 3rd year, and her sister Kyla (4th picture peeking through the music stands) plays the clarinet.

The 6th graders (Aliza) played first, then the 7th and 8th graders (Jackson, Kyla and Paige) played together. It was nice because the concert was shorter, and the bigger band sounded much better.

Maren's 3rd grade Christmas program was held in the High School Auditorium this year.

It was nice because everyone had a comfy seat. We were a little further away, and the pictures didn't turn out super, but I loved listening to each of the class's songs. Randon (Clint and Amy's son) is in the bottom left picture wearing the Santa hat. He was cute too.

Later in the month the three kids had their piano recitals at the Nursing Home in town. They each sounded beautiful. Jackson was a big help and was my video guy while I was taking pictures.

Christmas Programs

What a fun filled week of Christmas Programs!!!

We started on Tuesday with Aliza. All the 6 or so 3rd grade classes sang songs about letters to Santa.

Aliza was one of few, that got to "read" part of a letter. I thought she was supposed to memorize it. She worked hard and had it memorized. So when she read it at the program I was surprised. She told me later that she was supposed to read it. Oh well, she says her part often now. She did a wonderful job. (she says she talked too fast because she was nervous)

Sam and I were fortunate to sit is the front row close to where she was sitting. She is so beautiful, don't you think?


The 4Th graders sang some fun songs about a great snow blizzard. Jackson had fun with it and actually sang and did the "Moves"(he is not a big singer at all, I couldn't even get him to sing the ABC song when he was young). He didn't have a big part, but we enjoyed Kyla, his cousin, sing a beautiful song.



Jackson and his friends were pretty much just acting cool during the whole thing.



Maren was so excited to wear a pretty dress to school. She knew her songs so well. We heard her voice often. They sang Frosty The Snowman and......

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. She loved it, as did Sam and I. Again, a friend saved us front row seats, so we were able to enjoy the program with no heads in front of us.

We are so fortunate to another beautiful girl.

What a privilege it is to be the mother of such wonderful, beautiful, and spirited children. I couldn't ask for anything more.
