Surprise!

Paige is turning 16!  Amy asked if we could have a surprise party for her at our house.  Of course I said yes.  She came over a little early to help decorate and Sam was in charge of music selection.

She had no idea.  It was a few days before her actual birthday, so Amy thought it would be a good night.  She thought she was picking something up at our house, and since it was Wednesday night, she thought that Sam was having a YM activity at our house, with all the cars out front and everything.

They played games, played some foose ball and had a blast.  There was no school the next day, so it was a late one. :)

Happy sweet 16 Paige.

Middle School Talent Show

The end of the school year is busy for sure.  The second to the last day, the middle school had a talent show.  The kids had to try out in front of teachers in April, which meant they needed to have their talent already for show.  Paige and Kyla got a bunch of kids to perform to the song "Be true to your School" by the Beach Boys.  Jackson was one of them.

He was paired with Kyla for the boyfriend/girlfriend part.  He also threw the football back and forth with Jared for part of the song, and at the very end, he did a back flip.  The crowd really liked that part.

Aliza, for part of her Personal Progress, was in charge of a group of girls lip sinking to "Peanut Butter and Jelly"  She arranged the practice times, and put it together.  The props were already made, thank goodness.
They did a great job, and it was fun to watch them.

It was a great performance, and some of the kids have some wonderful talents.  Great job everyone!

End of Year Band Concert

Can you tell school is almost out?  A little crazy kids.
They did a fabulous job.  Aliza had a solo. She sounded superb.  I hope they all keep it up with their instruments.  They are very talented.
