Today I decided to mop my kitchen floor. I haven't in a couple of weeks due to being gone and being a little too busy. It really needed it with the kids home all day. So I decided no matter what, I was going to mop my floor. It was a hot day, so I even got a little sweaty. I made sure I mopped after lunch so it wouldn't get dirty right away. Well about 15 min. ago, Maren and her friend, who is over playing, decided to get some canned pears from the fridge that were left over from the other night. They tried to open the Rubbermaid lid, then POP off came the lid and pears and pear juice went all over the kitchen floor. Pear juice has a lot of sticky stuff in it and if not cleaned properly, it will start collecting dirt and get sticky stuff all over the floor and carpet.
It seems that every time I mop the floor, there is a big spill of juice, milk, or pear juice.
DOES THIS EVER HAPPEN TO YOU?
Now that I got that off my chest, I can clean up the mess.

Ugh! That is the worst! And yes, it does happen to me all the time, which is why I frequently avoid mopping my floor because it is inevitable that immediately after the full jar of salsa from the fridge comes flying out, or jam, koolaid, etc. etc. spills everywhere.
LOL. Yes, yes that has happened many times! At least you caught it. Sometimes my shoes start sticking to everything and I realize that the kids TRIED to clean up the mess themselves. Eek!
Try being the mother of 10 children and see how many times things get spilled! At least you can give your little ones sippy cups now so they won't get knocked over, right? I can empathize with anyone that is raising a family of more than one child! Keep up the good work of mothering.
this is the most annoying thing that can happen especially when you just mop. in my house, the majoraty of my floors are tile so mopping is not an easy job. just about three weeks ago a day or two after i mopped john spilt the whole pitcher of kool-aid, that i just made. it was aweful. so i know the feeling you had.
