Last day of school!!!
The kids had a half day of school on Friday. We went to the local ice-cream shack to get some yummy ice-cream to celebrate. It was a little rainy, so the kids decided to sit under the table to eat their ice-cream.
Thursday night was Sammy's 8th grade graduation. I'm not used to celebrating graduating from 8th grade, but we went to the ceremony, then headed to Fudruckers for some dinner. My Sammy is a high school 9th grader now. YIKES!!!
Thursday Aliza's school had an awards ceremony at school. Her name was drawn from many who had read books for the "books for bikes" program. She was very excited because she has been riding Jackson's old beat up bike. I just couldn't buy her a new one when we had so many that she could ride. Now I'm glad I didn't buy her one. Isn't it so girly?

What a great week. We are in school for 2 more weeks, ugh! Sammy is in high school?- NOOOOOOO!He's our little boy. Brynn just walked in and said, who's bike is that? I read to her about how Aliza won it and she said, "cool" and walked out. I think that is 'super cool' Aliza! Way to go! Can't wait to ride it this summer:)
What an exciting way to end school for the year! Graduate from 8th grade and winning a new bike for reading lots of books. Keep up the great work kids!!!!
becca, i can't believe you're going to have a highschooler. i still remember when sammy was a baby. it's just crazy how fast time flies. and cute bike for aliza. aren't you lucky that is just one less thing you have to worry about. and just while i was writing this, mikenna asked me "is this someone's blog" and i told her it was maren's blog. "do you remember her" she asked is she in my princess book (which is a photo album) and i told her to show me. she went and got her book and showed me a picture from the reunion. and sure enough, it was maren. i was so happy. it was cute.
Great picts & congrats to Aliza on winning the fabulous bike! It is a relief to be done with school. Yippee! Sammy needs to slow down on growing up. I can't believe it.
Whoa! That can NOT be little Sammy. Life goes by way too fast. I would love to plan a reunion with the Weavers.
