Special Ornaments--Father 1984

This is our Christmas tree this year. It isn't fancy, and it probably looks the same each year because I'm not creative enough to change the look of it every year, and it has the old time big color light bulbs, but Sam and I like it. It is what each of us grew up with. So, hopefully, everyday until Christmas, I will feature an ornament(s) that has meaning to us, even though it may not match the tree.Today I will feature an ornament that was given to each of us kids, from my mom, the Christmas my dad passed away. I love this crystal clear ornament and has a great meaning to me.
It reads "A FATHER has a special gift of giving of himself." CHRISTMAS 1984.

I don't know how I happened upon the ornament, but I knew that each of you children needed one to cherish thru the years. I'm glad that you still enjoy it and the meaning of that year.

That is neat to have an ornament that has such a special meaning to you. I can't believe that your mom was able to think so clearly and toughtfully such a short time after your father passed away. I'm sure that the comforter helped you all through that time.

I love my "Father" ornament! It always hangs right under our star.
