First Day of Snow!

Yesterday was the first day of snow. Not too bad I guess. At least it wasn't the beginning of October this year. It started snowing late morning and by afternoon it was perfect for making snowmen.

The snow didn't last too long and within two days, the snowmen were completely gone. Amazing.

It was also Stake Conference weekend. We had Elder Zwick from the Quorum of the Seventy here. Both meetings were so inspiring. He challenged us to read out loud chapters 3 and 6 in the Preach My Gospel manual and also the first three chapters in Handbook 2. I hope we will make the effort to do this, especially with our children. Maybe writing this down will help us do it. We didn't know much about Elder Zwick, so while we were listening to him and his stories, we used our phones to Google him and learn about his life. Pretty interesting.

Once There Was A Snowman

For our ward activity a couple of weeks ago, we had a "Let Your Light So Shine" night. We were able to bring some of our hobbies (I brought my lap top and showed my blogging hobby), and show off some of our talents. We had some great acts; songs, violin playing, piano, husband and wife duets, accordian playing............Then there were the Van Trapollock families. Amy found this great act from a family in Lovell, that performed it at the Lovell Follies. They let us borrow the song and some of their props. We practiced one or two times, and we even got our husbands, Clint and Sam to perform with us. It's not a professional video, but take a look. I hope you can hear the song and words o.k.
