Primary Program

Yesterday we had our primary program. What a privilege it was to be there and feel the spirit as these children sang and bore their testimonies. I am so thankful for my 1st counselor, Kimberly, for putting this inspired program together. I enjoyed all the children's parts (which most had memorized), scriptures and songs. I enjoyed hearing Maren's singing voice over all the other children (you could tell when she didn't know a part or was on the wrong verse, but oh what a beautiful voice she has). I enjoyed listening to Aliza share how she felt when she was baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. The sunbeams (5 boys) sang "I Hope They Call Me on a Mission", right after, the rest of the primary sang the 1st verse of "Called To Serve". The senior primary boys, along with the missionaries serving in our ward, sang the second verse, which Jackson was a part of (and he did sing). What a wonderful and proud moment that was for me to know that I belong to Christ's church. When the children sang "I am a Child of God", two of the girls in primary played the violin during the last two verses, which sounded beautiful. I sat in the front row in the congregation on the opposite side of the chorister, to help the children that couldn't see her with the songs. They all did such a wonderful job and were very reverent (after two weeks of practicing during the 2 hours of primary, we wondered).
I am so thankful to be a part of primary and see these children learn and grow spiritually each year.

What a special feeling you must had had, Rebecca, knowing that these are your Primary children for whom you are responsible. Just a little reward for your caring so much about the children in your ward. Congratulations to all of you leaders as well as the children!

Sounds like a wonderful meeting. Your girls are both great singers, I wish I was there to hear them also. Props to Jackson for singing also! I'm sure the hard work paid off for you and your presidency. Primary Rocks!

Jerry and I totally enjoyed listening to Maren sing also. We got a kick out of it because it reminded us sooooo much of Sarah singing at the top of her lungs in her first program as a sunbeam...got to love those confident girls of ours!!

We had our primary program a couple weeks ago and what a joy it is to see your children happy, singing and so excited to say their parts. Even though it was kind of noisy you could still feel the spirit. I wish I could have heard Maren sing. I bet you are so proud.
