Would You Have Ever Thought...........?

I wish I would have gotten whatever happened in slow-motion.
Who would have ever thought a cute little mug, picture drawn by Maren...also just barely received. would produce this..........

Morning rush to get on the bus. Aliza was just getting a cup out of the cupboard (opposite stove). She knocked Maren's cup off the shelf, then we heard the loudest crash ever.....we all looked at each other. Aliza looked at us and said, "All I did was take out my cup."

After some investigation, we concluded that the handle of Maren's cup broke and protruded across the kitchen and hit the stove just right. Sam said...."At least Thanksgiving isn't tomorrow."

Thanks to Sam's dad, who is in town for the week, for cleaning up the mess while I was taking kids to school. We didn't make the bus.

What was that? Does this mean a new stove or at the least an oven door? This may mean using the stool next time instead of climbing up, right? Tell big Sam "Hi" Has he eaten all of his nuts yet? I'm still trying to get myself up for making pies and drying the apples he gave us.

WOW!! Thats amazing what that can do. Who would have ever thought. This is a moment where you ask yourself what do we do now? At least everyone is alright and not complaining about debris in their legs or arms.

Holy Cow! I thought that kind of freak accident only happened at our house. I'm glad no one got hurt. Phew! Good thinking to take some quick picts in the middle of getting out the door.

Oh Becca! That is a good one! I am so glad everyone is safe and that Big Sam was so helpful in cleaning it up for you! Do you get a new stove? Tile? Kitchen? Custom mug? ha ha

At first I thought the mug had shattered into all those pieces
. It took me a minute to figure that it was the oven door. WOW what a mess!

Wow! You want to know the sad thing...I would give anything to have something like this happen to my stove. We're just waiting for ours to die so we would have to get a new one, haha! Glad everyone was safe, and thank goodness for grandpas that can fix a huge mess!

Quick thinking getting a picture before the mess was cleaned up. Sometimes in a situation like that all you can do is laugh. I love the funny things your kids say on the side of your blog what a great idea. I also feel super special that you and Amy actually commented on my blog and you aren't even related to me ~ I think that is a first.
